Cordula Aeschbacher studied cello and recorder in Zurich and Lincoln, Nebraska (USA) with Martina Schucan, Matthias Weilenmann and Dr. Karen Becker (student of Phyllis Young). She completed her studies with teaching diplomas and an MM in Cello Performance. Intensive chamber music lessons with the Chiara Quartet. Master classes with Pieter Wiespelwey, Paul Katz, Gregory Beaver, Norman Fischer, Richard Aaron and Timothy Eddy, with the Catalyst Quartet and the Emerson Quartet. Currently private further education on viola da gamba and baroque cello.

Cordula Aeschbacher is passionate about playing consort and string quartet. She played in the paultaylorCHestra in the programs "Alphorn and Nordic Winds" and "The Lovers" (with Schönberg's "Transfigured Night"), in the Neuenheim Chamber Orchestra with, among others, Bartok's "Divertimento for String Orchestra", and she was a member of Lincoln's Symphony Orchestra (conducted by Edward Polochick). Many years of experience as a cello teacher.

She also enjoys introducing "late entrants" to the basics of cello playing and helping them through the shallows and cliffs on their learning path. The most beautiful thing for her are aha-experiences, when something new works out and the skills develop - at what pace is not the most important thing. Proven methods of instrumental pedagogy and newer findings of brain research are equally included. All in all, a lustful, sensual but also clever and clear practice is conveyed. Music is played from the very beginning.

Interests and special concerns are gladly taken into account.
